Baby mama of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is asking Ghanaians to desist from tagging her with the Shatta brand.
The socialite and budding musician who was formerly called Shatta Michy on social media recently erased Shatta from her name, leaving her handle as Michy GH on social media.
Reacting to the change of name, Michy told MzGee on the Gee Spot, she prefers Ghanaians accept her as Michy rather than associate her with the brand of her son’s Dad.
“I want people to accept me for me, not tag me to that brand even though I have been a part of the story. I just want to be known for me, it is like owning my brand. I have been a part of the story, building the empire,” she noted.
When MzGee asked why Michy avoided mentioning Shatta’s name during her submission, she replied.
“Oh, my name is still Shatta Michy. You want to put me in trouble” before reluctantly and jokingly mentioning Shatta’s name.
Gee Spot show on Saturday at 6.30pm on Joy Prime, DSTV 281. The show repeats on Wednesday at 10 am on the same channel.
