Embattled Rector of the Wa Polytechnic, Prof. Emmanuel Owusu Marfo says he will not allow lecturers of the institution to manipulate him.
He has accused some lecturers of the Polytechnic of being parochial and selfish in their thinking.
“All they know is to think about their pockets and because I don’t share in their ways, they want to throw me out of the school. All I will say now is that I leave everything to God. I am a Christian and so I pray that God will intervene and exonerate me” he said on Accra-based Okay FM monitored by Adomonline.com.

Prof. Emmanuel Marfo was prevented from entering his office, Thursday, despite a court ruling directing him to resume official duties.
A high court in Wa on Tuesday quashed a decision by the governing council of the institution to suspend him as the Rector.
But Prof. Marfo arrived at the Polytechnic’s administration block, which houses his office, only to find it under lock and key.

But reacting to the development, the suspended rector said he will not be drawn into any personal confrontation with lecturers for preventing him from entering his office.
He said he never breached procurement procedures to buy luxurious saloon car worth half a million Ghana cedis.

According to him, he is looking up to God to exonerate him from whatever led to his suspension.
“I have decided not to speak or confront lecturers of the school. I did nothing wrong as far as the car is concerned and so I still don’t understand why they are fighting me“, he said.
