I’m vindicated; Jean Mensah could not even convene IPAC meeting – Kofi Adams jabs

-

Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams says he feels vindicated about his position of Electoral Commission Chairman, Jean Mensa.

Kofi said his vindication lies in the inability of the EC boss to convey a simple Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.

Kofi Adams explained that the party got a letter inviting them to a meeting at 1: pm Wednesday afternoon around 12:14, a situation he said smacks of “gross incompetence”.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, a livid Kofi Adams said they predicted the EC boss will expose her weakness and it has come to pass.

He revealed that the EC under Mrs Mensah’s leadership sent a photocopy of a letter inviting a political party like NDC to such an important meeting.

Even in the letter, there was nothing like an agenda or programme detailing what they are to expect. They just sent a photocopy of the invitation and I was shocked,” the NDC man opined.

Kofi Adams said the NDC has been working with former EC Chairpersons like Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan and Charlotte Osei and such embarrassments have never occurred thus is shocked it is happening under Jean Mensah.

She has failed in her first major assignment as EC Chairman for exhibiting this level of incompetence,” he fumed.

But Head of Communications at the EC, Eric Kofi Dzakpasu said what happened was an oversight.
