Multi-TV Habitat Fair 2017 Launched

The 2017 edition of the Multi TV Habitat Fair has been launched at the Alisa hotel in Accra.

The Multi TV Habitat Fair which is under the auspices of Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) in partnership with M&C Properties is aimed at bringing together technocrats in the housing sector to help solve the housing needs of Ghanaians.

The event would be preceded by three mini fairs at the Achimota Retail Centre, West Hills Mall in June and July in Accra and in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi in October respectively.

Head of Sales of Multimedia Group, Mordecai Quarshie indicated that the motive for the fair is to solve the housing deficit in the country.70 He noted that, bringing affordable houses to the doorstep of the citizenry is their top priority.

Also, Executive Director of M&C Properties, Eric Kodi expressed their excitement partnering with Multimedia.

He said as an established market leader in the real estate industry, their focus is to provide affordable houses to close Ghana housing deficits.

Mr. Kodi was optimistic the 2017 Habitat Fair will serve as a platform to meet Ghanaians at the point of their needs.

The first mini-fair is scheduled for the 24th and 25th of June at Achimota Mall between55 8:am to 7:pm daily, whiles the second mini fair comes off on the 29 and 30 of July at West Hills Mall-Weija. A grand event will also be beld in August 11th -13th at Accra International Conference Centre.

In Kumasi, the fair will be held on October 27 and 29.

The deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing Freda Prempeh speaking at the event bemoaned the increasing housing deficit in the country. disclosed

She disclosed that only about 35 percent of Ghanaians can afford expensive houses in the country whereas 50 percent can afford the average house.47She added that a home is a basic human right yet bemoaned of how poverty, increase in population and globalization has deprived a lot of Ghanaians of being house owners, the reason she commended Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) for organising the annual housing fair.64

Madam Freda Prempeh pledged government’s support the fair to enrich the living standards of Ghanaians.
