AUDIO: 40 Crocodile Matchet workers suspended for demonstrating

Forth (40) workers of Crocodile Matchet Company Limited, manufacturers of various types of cutlasses, have been suspended for protesting on the streets of Tema.

The workers according to Adom News’ Issabella Avio wore red bands, converged at the Company’s entrance at Tema Industrial Area on July 18, 2018.

According to the aggrieved workers, the salary negotiations for this year have unduly delayed for six months without any tangible reason.

They accused management of 30 percent cut in salaries of workers that were transferred from one department to the other due to some medical conditions they contracted from working at the factory.

The demonstration was not received well by management and has suspended the workers who embarked on the demonstration indefinitely.
