Tema based rapper, Kwesi Arthur, has said on BBC’s Focus on Africa that Drake made him start writing music.
“My dad used to play music in the house. But I started listening to Drake and that’s what made me feel like I can write music. So, Drake made me start writing music. He was talking about his life so why not go into it and write about myself so that’s how it started” he said
According to the artiste, his song “grind day” is about the difficulty people go through daily, trying to survive. He further went on to say that social media has played a vital role in promoting his songs.

“The people who like my music upload it on their Twitter and Instagram pages and we have this platform “ground up chaley” where we upload our videos and when people like it, they share it”, he added

The artiste further went on to say that his songs are about his life, adding that they will help motivate those who might be facing the same or similar situations he went through while growing.
