Hiplife duo, Keche, known in real life as Joshua Kojo Ampah (Keche Joshua) and Andrew Kofi Cudjoe (Keche Andrew) have slammed fellow musician, Pope Skinny for saying Ghanaian rappers are sleeping.
Pope Skinny has pledged to revive the dying hardcore rap in Ghana because, according to him, rappers are sleeping.
Speaking with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Pope Skinny said he’ll put measures in place to revive the hip-hop rap genre in Ghana.
He subsequently released a song dubbed “72 Bars” to motivate the sleeping rappers to become vibrant.

But reacting to Pope’s assertions, Joshua of Keche fame, said Pope is sleeping himself if he intends to wake rappers up with just one song.
According to him, Pope Skinny is expecting too much from fellow rappers when he is not living up to the task himself.

“You are expecting too much from your colleagues and you aren’t doing anything yourself. If we are sleeping then he is also doing the same. I can’t talk about someone when I am blaming him for the same thing I am doing. If he thinks he is stronger than Sarkodie, Omar Sterling. I want him to prove it”, he said.
“I have heard that song but it doesn’t mean he is the best. The only musician I salute is FlowKing Stone because they started as a duo and we know Kunta’s issue when he stood and did everything on his own and proven to everyone. One song is not enough to make you better than the rest”, Keche argued.
