Some Ghanaians have cautioned prophets in the country not to take advantage of the sudden death of former vice president Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur to get more famous than they already are.
According to some citizen who spoke to GhanaWeb, instead of preachers proudly coming out to tell the whole country that they foretold the deaths of public figures after it has happened, they should rather pray to avert such situations when it is revealed to them.
“Its high time Ghanaian Pastors learned to do the right thing, if you prophesied about someone’s death then you should be able to pray for their life to be saved. This time people want to use the death of big people to claim popularity should be a thing of the past, its high time we forget about this,” one person said.
An audio from the 31st December night service of the Glorious Word Ministry with the founder of the church Prophet Owusu Bempah heard prophesying that the former vice president was going to die within the first 10-months of the year if he doesn’t pray seriously has gone viral on social media.
Prophet Owusu Bempah, after the sad news broke, spoke to a number of radio stations in Accra reminding Ghanaians of his prophecy, revealing that he tried but failed to get access to Amissah-Arthur before the unfortunate happened.
The former Bank of Ghana Governor passed away during the early hours of Friday, June 29, 2018, after reportedly collapsing at the Airforce Gym during a workout session. He was subsequently rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he died.
