MTN FA Cup Round of 64: Defending Champions survive on penalties

Current MTN FA Cup champions, Asante Kotoko, beat Storm Academy at the Baba Yara Stadium to make it to the round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup on penalties after both sides failed to score in open play.

The Porcupine Warriors won 6-5 after goalkeeper Osei Kwame saved Charles Agyemang’s final kick to keep them in the competition.

Accra Hearts of Oak at the Zaytuna Park made it two wins out of two when striker Joseph Esso scored the only goal of the clash against Young Wise through a spot kick.

The two sides met in the round of 16 last year where the Phobians won by the same margin.

In other games, Division One side, Star Madrid caused a major stir after they pip Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 at the Cape Coast stadium with Premier league sides, Medeama SC, Dreams FC, Liberty Professionals; Wa All Stars all making it to the next round.
