Parliament has summoned the Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu, to appear before the House to answer questions about the 89 million dollar GVG Kelni Revenue Assurance contract.
Many, including the founding President of Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, have expressed concern about the Ministry of Communications’ contract with Kelni.

They have described the contract as needless and a duplication of functions of Subah and Afriwave, whose contracts were signed by the previous NDC government.
Making contribution to the business statement for next week, MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said there is the need for the House to be properly briefed about the contract.
First Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Matthew Nyindam in response to Okudzeto Ablakwa’s response said, the Minister of communications has agreed to meet the communications Committee on Tuesday, May 29.
Second Deputy Speaker, Alban Bagbin who presided over proceedings, directed for the Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu Ekumful, to appear before the entire House next week.
