Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency in the Western Region, George Mireku Duker, has condemned clashes between the military and police officers in the Northern Regional Capital of Tamale.
He urged the police to bring guilty officers to book, regardless of their status.
“No one is above the laws, not even the security at some point, a citizen can even arrest an offender so the security should conduct investigations into the matter and punish those who will be found guilty. It’s very sad”, he said on Adom TV’s Morning Show, “Badwam’, on Tuesday.

Eight officers from the Northern Regional Police Command have been injured after a scuffle with their military counterparts on Wednesday.
The officers, who have since been treated and discharged from the Police Hospital, were among several police officers who fell prey to the attack launched on them by officers from the Northern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, a high powered security delegation is expected in Tamale on Thursday (today), following the violent clashes.
The delegation will include the Ministers of Defence and Interior.
But Mr. Mireku Duker urged the ministers to resolve the issue ‘in-house’ since the issue has the tendency of undermining the security of the country.
