The Salvation Army church in Ghana has constructed a new maternity block to care for pregnant women during birth and also provide better care for new-born infants.

According to management, the maternity block which is situated at Kokomlemle in Accra, seeks to support the health sector by providing first class deliveries of babies in the country.

In an interview with the Metro Director of Health Services, Madam Esi, she indicated that the ward will provide an atmosphere for the new-borns and their lactating mothers to boost growth.

“We want children to have better hospital care. New-born kids will also be given proper atmosphere and temperature to keep their babies warm and alive. We are focused on making the health sector better”, he said.

According to him, Ghanaians should fully patronise the services of the block if they want to deliver their babies in good health.

“We are not after money but to help others in the name of the Lord. We want to improve the health sector…” he mentioned.
