The ‘power-play’ for the top job of the FA is said to have reached its climax after the GFA fired the vice president, George Afriyie as its vice-president.
However, some reports state that Mr Afriyie is enjoying ringing endorsement from some of the former members of the Executive Committee.
Mr Nyantakyi had declared on three occasions that he was not going to seek re-election but it appears he will make U-turn due to incessant pressure from the ruling government and other stakeholders of the game.
