The Northern regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party Daniel Bugri Naabu was involved in an accident in the early hours of Thursday.’
Local reports say he was from a campaign tour in some towns in the region where he is seeking a re-election as chairman of his party in the region.

The reports suggest that the car in which he was traveling somersaulted several times.
The Damango District Police Commander, ASP Gladstone Kumeko has confirmed the accident to Adom News, saying the constituency chairman of the ruling NPP called to inform him about the chairman and his team being involved in an accident.
Earlier information indicated that he was is in critical condition and was likely to be referred to a different facility for further treatment.

But Northern Regional Minister Hon. Salifu Saeed told Adom News that the chairman is stable and under observation at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
