Former Hearts of Oak defender Yaw Amankwah Mireku has blamed the shambolic performance of his mother club on the playing body.
According to him, the players are not intelligent thus no one should blame the coaches.
Speaking on the Ultimate Sports Show, Amankwah Mireku who is now a pastor explained that the current players of the club are failing to learn and show any iota of intelligence on the field of play and that cannot be the fault of the coach who has taken them through extensive training.
“I will blame the players 80 percent for their bad performance this season because they are not being intelligent and blame the managers 10 percent. The players are not up to the task; they are not sensible and are lazy”, he fumed.
Admitting he is yet to watch a premier league game after week nine, the former Wa All Stars player maintained that changing of managers and shifting blame on them must cease because it is not the solution to the many problems of the club.
He however did not downplay the idea of managing the club if given the opportunity and believes he would be able to do a good job to that effect, saying it would be a risk and not a privilege.
Hearts of Oak are now tenth on the league log after week nine, winning three, drawing two and losing four and amassing eleven points.
