Our attention has been drawn to an inaccuracy in the headline of our story: “I won’t step down, Akufo-Addo cannot treat me like Afoko – Stephen Ntim”.
The story emanated from comments attributed to Mr. Stephen Ntim, a national chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

While the story stayed true to Mr. Ntim’s comments recorded during a campaign outreach in which he alleges attempts by President Akufo-Addo to get him to back out of the NPP national chairmanship race, he also insisted he would see the competition through and hopefully win the slot and work with the president.
Mr. Ntim had said that should he win the slot, he would not be like Paul Afoko, but would go to the president and work with him, whether the latter likes it or not.

We had misconstrued his comments to mean that he would not allow the president to treat him like Paul Afoko, the estranged national chairman of the NPP.
We have since corrected the headline and hereby apologise to Mr. Stephen Ntim for any inconvenience the wrong headline may have caused him.
