A candidate writing the ongoing Senior High School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) has died at Obuasi Asonkori in the Ashanti region.
19-year-old Clinton Kumi who was a General Art student of Obuasi Christ the King SHS died on Monday shortly after he was rushed to the hospital a strange condition.

Distraught father of the deceased, Isaac Kumi, said his son looked very healthy until he started complaining of headache on Friday evening.
He said after giving him some painkiller, Clinton responded to treatment and even went to the farm.

Mr. Kumi said his son’s condition became worse when he started coughing blood so they rushed him to Byrnt Mission Hospital for medical attention.
30 minutes after their arrival at the hospital, however, Clinton was pronounced dead.
“I’m still in shock because my son was not sick so I’m still at a loss as to how a common cough could claim his life”, he said in anguish.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Byrnt Mission Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
