Renowned football arbiter and Board Member of Berekum Arsenal FC, Kwame Ntow Fianko says he sees nothing wrong with the GFA’s Vice President, George Afriyie declaring his intention to contest as FA president.
According to the lawyer, “…George did not break any constitutional provision of the GFA by the declaration of his intention to contest for the top most position”.
The former Division One League Board Chairman further explained that, Article 1-11 of the FA elections regulations did not say anything against anyone declaring his position to contest for any Executive Committee portfolio.
He has therefore challenged anyone who thinks George is wrong to declare his intention to prove where he has broken the election rules and regulations of the FA.
Mr. Fianko who was speaking in an interview with Asempa Sports’ Enoch Worlanyo Wallace also added that the GFA President and the Executive can take a decision as to who becomes the next Vice President of the FA because the law is silent on that.
