HOT AUDIO: Anyidoho lacks capacity to organise coup d'etat – ABA Fuseini

-

A ranking Member on the Communication Committee in Parliament, Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini has said that the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho lacks the capacity to orgainse Coup d’etat.

The NDC Deputy General Secretary was picked up Tuesday afternoon in dramatic fashion at the International Press Centre by plain-clothed men who did not give reasons for his arrest.

Adomonline.com has learnt the arrest has something to do with comments by Koku Anyidoho suggesting the Akufo-Addo led government will be overthrown just like his late father.
Anyidoho in an interview with Happy FM said: “On January 13, 1972 a certain Col. Ignatius Kutu Acheampong led a movement that removed the Progress Party from power. Busia was the Prime Minister and Akufo-Addo’s father was a ceremonial president. Somebody should tell Nana Akufo-Addo that history has a very interesting way of repeating itself.”
His comments appear not to have gone down well with the security personnel.
But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Tuesday, Alhaji Fuseini said Mr. Anyidoho’s comment is harmless.

“How can you even arrest Koku because of this statement? His comment is harmless and so there was no need in arresting him in the first place,” he said.
He believes government’s action has rather energized the NDC party.

This notwithstanding, he said the Minority Caucus will join forces with the Ghana First Patriotic Front (GFPF) and all other groups who have so far registered their displeasure by expressing their unflinching support and participation in tomorrow’s march.
