Founder of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has announced plans to host a press conference with an unusual twist aimed at deterring election rigging.

In a televised interview on Adom TV‘s The Big Agenda with Nana Ampofo Adjei, the Ghanaian priest and politician disclosed that on December 1 at 2 PM, he will perform a public ceremony, pouring libation and invoking 99 curses against any individuals or entities planning to manipulate the results of the December 7 elections.

He stated, “The aim is to pour a libation and curse those who will try to rig the elections,” emphasizing that the ritual will be prolonged and intensive, with the intent of delivering 99 specific curses.

He cited concerns over past allegations of rigging and emphasized that he will use traditional spiritual practices to ensure fair outcomes.

Additionally, Kyiri Abosom said in the event of a runoff between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he would require financial reimbursement from either side for the expenses he has incurred since launching his own campaign in 2020 before considering aligning with any of the major parties.
