Head coach of the Black Starlets, Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin says his team is 70% ready for the 2017 FIFA World Cup slated for India next month.
The team which has been in camp for sometime now will leave Ghana later this month for a month long European tour an action he stressed will help the team add the rest to make it perfect ahead of the start of the competition.
“The team is 70 per cent ready for the tournament and the rest will be fulfilled during the tour to set the team for the opening game against South American giants Colombia.”
He noted that since resuming camp after the African championship, the team has been augmented with some new faces he believes will help the team achieve the desired results with WAFA striker Richard Danso one of the notable additions.
While in Denmark the team will be joined by a member of the silver winning side from the Gabon tournament, midfielder Sulley Ibrahim who is on a two weeks trial stint with German giants FC Bayern Munich.
Also coach Fabin is expecting former WAFA center forward Aminu Mohammed who now plied his trade with Red Bull Salzburg as well as two other unnamed players from Right To Dream Academy.
