1. What women want their partners to do more often
In the movie ‘What Women Want’, Mel Gibson, who played the central role, acquired the strange ability to hear what women actually think. His amusement turned into disgust after he was constantly exposed to the uncensored thoughts of thousands of women. But he did learn a few important things the hard way, which otherwise no woman would have told him. Yes, sometimes a woman might want her partner to do certain things but due to many reasons, she might not be able to convey her thoughts. So, we asked seven women what they would want their boyfriend to do more often in a relationship and here’s what they said.
2. To be more expressive
“Communication is the key to a healthy relationship and unfortunately, it has not been our strongest factor. It’s not that we don’t talk much but mostly our conversation centers around our daily activities or friends and family. Sometimes, I have no clue about his emotions or the thoughts running through his head. I wish he was more expressive and would talk more about his feelings rather than what happened in his office!” said Akriti Singh.
3. To be more forgiving
“Where there is love, there will be fights and we are no exception. I am not worried about the arguments and disagreements we have. But what really scares me is how he behaves after that. He takes a long time to get over our fights, as a result of which a lot of anxiety and stress builds up between us. I only wish he becomes more forgiving,” shared Anju Roy.
4. To say ‘I Love You’ more often
“It seems we have started underestimating the power of these three words—I love you. When we first started dating, hardly a day went by when he didn’t say these words. But now, after five years of being together, he had stopped saying so. I wish he would do this more often,” said Rakhi Awasti.
5. Dress up for me
“This might sound a little strange but I want my boyfriend to dress up for me often. Whenever we are on a date or are visiting friends and family, I take care to dress up for the occasion or at least wear something that he likes. I never see my boyfriend doing the same,” said Ayushi Aggarwal.
6. Stop telling his mother everything
“Rather than speaking about what my boyfriend should do more often, I would rather share what I want him to stop doing. He is a complete mamma’s boy and has this habit of discussing everything under the sun with his mother. I wish he would stop doing that,” shared Tanya Gupta.
7. Compliment me more
“I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for five years and one thing that has changed over the years is that he has almost stopped complimenting me. I agree, we have started taking each other for granted but then I sometimes wish he would treat me like he did when we first met,” said Visakha Jain.
8. Trust me a little more when I am with other boys
“My boyfriend is a little possessive and I sometimes enjoy that. But what irritates me is when he gets over possessive. So, I would want him to trust me a little more and not get irritated when I am with other boys,” said Ravina Negi.
