The police at Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region have arrested five suspects in connection with the killing of a Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, Japhet Yeboah, on Tuesday.
The suspects, three females and two males, are currently in custody to assist with investigations.
The Assemblyman for Asuopri Electoral Area, Salifu Basoma, who confirmed the arrest, said the police are on a manhunt for other accomplices.
Japhet was shot dead in a daylight robbery at the Nkrankwanta lorry station by armed men who bolted with an undisclosed amount of money, including cedis and CFA.
The incident has put the police on high alert to arrest the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the Nkrankwanta Traditional Council has also invoked the gods of their land to help apprehend the culprits.
