A 38-year-old mason has hanged himself after an evening praise and prayer session in his room at Ajumako Entumbil in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.
Reports gathered indicate that on Monday, July 15, 2024, around 10:00 PM, he was heard in his room singing songs of praise and later went into a time of prayer, which was unusual of him.
Ekua Adoa, the mother of the deceased, who spoke to Kasapa News said they were in their room sleeping when they heard the deceased singing songs of praise.
However, after some time, they didn’t hear his voice anymore, so the deceased’s sister, whose mobile phone charger was with him, decided to go and get it.
After knocking on the door several times without a response, they used sticks to force the door open, only to discover he had hanged himself on a ceiling fan with a sponge.
Relatives said the deceased appeared fit; hence don’t know what actually pushed him to take his life.
Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the Ajumako District Police Command for investigation, and the body was conveyed to the morgue.
