Three suspected robbers have been arrested at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Dormaa Municipality of the Bono region.
According to the Dormaa Ahenkro District Police Commander, DSP Young Samuel Acolatse, the suspects were arrested on Thursday afternoon after police gathered intelligence on them.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, DSP Acolatse disclosed that the suspects were arrested in their homes after a search.
The residents have often complained of break-ins into their homes and shops with electrical gadgets including mobile phones being stolen so we intensified our intelligence network, he explained.
Yesterday, we had a tip-off that five guys who are alleged to have been coming from the Upper East region were in the area to operate so we went after them,” he said.
The arrest, according to DSP Acolatse, led to the retrieval of a pump-action gun with serial number G763014, 10 AA life ammunitions and BB life ammunition, cutlasses, plier, bags of rice, oil and assorted drinks from the homes of the suspects.

The suspects have been identified as Kwame Evans Acheaw, also known as, Gadafi, 36; an ex-convict, Musa Azuma, also known as, Kofi, 30; and Lambeth Anigambe, 33 with two others only identified as Kwasi and Daniel on the run.
 The suspects are set to be arraigned before a court with investigations ongoing.
