On Saturday, August 24, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) unveiled its manifesto for the 2024 general elections, presenting an extensive plan aimed at revitalizing Ghana’s economy, easing economic hardships, and ensuring good governance.
Speaking at the launch in Winneba, the party’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for what he described as “abysmal performance,” highlighting issues such as high inflation, currency depreciation, and rising unemployment.
Mr. Mahama pledged to rejuvenate Ghana’s economy through initiatives like a National Economic Dialogue, tax reforms, and urgent measures to stabilize the Ghana cedi.
