Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has affirmed that President John Dramani Mahama is committed to a path of reform and transformation to revitalize Ghana’s economy.
Presenting the 2025 Budget Statement in Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, Dr. Forson emphasized the government’s dedication to policies that promote economic stability and national development.
“Mahama has chosen the path to reform and transformation, ensuring that we build a resilient and inclusive economy,” he stated.
According to him, the Mahama-led administration is focused on structural reforms to address economic challenges and foster long-term sustainability. He highlighted job creation, infrastructural development, and improved social services as key priorities.
Dr. Forson further explained that the government is determined to restore economic confidence through strategic policies aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency. He cited the 24-hour economy policy and targeted investments in key sectors as part of the broader transformation agenda.
“Our focus is on strengthening the foundations of the economy to ensure sustainable growth for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he added.
The Finance Minister urged Parliament and stakeholders to support the government’s reform agenda, stressing that collaboration is essential for achieving the desired economic turnaround.
He assured Ghanaians that the Mahama administration remains committed to transparent governance and prudent fiscal management to drive meaningful change.
Dr. Forson concluded that the 2025 Budget reflects the government’s vision for a transformed and prosperous Ghana.
