2025 AFCONQ: We will qualify – Otto Addo assures after goalless draw with Sudan

-

Ghana coach Otto Addo has expressed confidence that the Black Stars will qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) despite a goalless draw against Sudan.

In Thursday’s Matchday three encounter held at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Black Stars showed an improved performance but were unable to score against Sudan’s Falcons.

The draw leaves the four-time AFCON champions in third place in Group F.

Speaking to the media after the match, Addo, 45, remained optimistic, emphasizing that qualification is still within their control.

He assured fans that the team would win their remaining matches to secure a spot in the tournament, which will be hosted in Morocco next year.

“It is still in our own hands. we win our next games and we will qualify,” the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach said.

“We will do it,” he assured.

Ghana will face Sudan again in the return leg on Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium, with kick-off set for 13:00 GMT.

Following that, the Black Stars will play Angola away and conclude their Group F campaign with a home match against Niger.
