Sudan head coach, Kwesi Appiah, has expressed confidence ahead of their second-leg encounter against Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, scheduled for Tuesday.
The Falcons managed to hold the Black Stars to a goalless draw in the first leg on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, setting up a crucial reverse fixture.
Speaking ahead of the match, Appiah emphasized Sudan’s determination to secure a big win.
“Sudan played against Ghana. It was a difficult game but we managed to fight to get a draw,” he said.
“We are now going to play the return leg in Benghazi. It’s not going to be easy but Inshallah we are going to fight and make sure we get a big victory for Sudan,” he added.
The second-leg clash is set to take place on Tuesday, October 15, at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya, with kick-off at 13:00 GMT.
Ghana is in need of a win to boost their qualifying hopes, as they currently sit third in Group F, with only one point from two draws and a loss. The Black Stars are expected to travel to Libya on Sunday.
