Ghana coach, Otto Addo, expressed confidence that his team is mentally prepared for their crucial match against Sudan on Tuesday, October 15.
The Black Stars will face off against the Falcons in a pivotal Matchday four encounter of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the Martyrs of February Stadium.
In a pre-match interview, Addo emphasized that his squad has undergone thorough preparations, particularly focusing on improving their goal-scoring capabilities.
He remains optimistic about securing a victory that will set them on the path to qualifying for the upcoming AFCON tournament.
“And I think the boys are mentally ready and yeah, this is the only thing which is missing. We have to score,” he said.
“We have to score. We have to believe in ourselves. Is very important. If we believe the goals will come,” he added.
The Black Stars have faced challenges in the qualifiers so far, managing only two points from their first three matches. They began with a narrow 1-0 loss to Angola, followed by a 1-1 draw with Niger, and a scoreless draw against Sudan.
A win against Sudan on Tuesday would elevate Ghana to second place in Group F, significantly enhancing their chances of advancing to the next AFCON tournament. The match is set to kick off at 13:00 GMT.
