Black Stars coach, Otto Addo believes his side can beat any opposition in Group F of the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The 45-year-old coach shared his optimism during a press conference ahead of Ghana’s second-leg match against Sudan on Tuesday.
The Black Stars have struggled in the qualifiers so far, earning just two points from their first three matches. They suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Angola in their opening game, followed by a 1-1 draw with Niger, and a goalless draw against Sudan.
Despite the disappointing results, Addo remains positive, highlighting the team’s strong performances against Angola and Sudan.
“I think it’s good Angola won against Niger, and now the situation is still in our hands. We need to win this match tomorrow, and once we are second, I think we all know and have seen that we can beat all of those teams we’ve played against. It’s still in our own hands, and that’s what we’re aiming for,” said the 45-year-old said.
The Black Stars will face Sudan at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya for their Matchday four fixture.
Ghana is aiming for their first win to boost their chances of qualifying for the tournament that will be staged in Morocco next year.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 13:00 GMT.
