Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has charged his players to be disciplined as they gear up for their doubleheader against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The senior national team has faced challenges in their first two matches, conceding two goals while only managing to find the net once.
Ahead of the clashes against Kwesi Appiah’s Sudanese squad, Addo emphasized his commitment to strengthening the team’s defensive play.
He reassured supporters that the team would be thoroughly prepared and determined to prevent any further goals against them.
“We need to be disciplined and cautious against Sudan to prevent conceding,” the 45-year-old coach said.
“The players are aware of the situation, but as the coach, it’s my responsibility to ensure they play well and stay solid at the back because we understand how dangerous Sudan can be,” he added.
The Black Stars will face Sudan on October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the return match scheduled for October 15 in Benina, Libya.
Following a 1-0 defeat to Angola and a 1-1 draw with Niger, the Black Stars are eager to secure victories in both encounters to enhance their chances of qualifying for the tournament.
The Black Stars will begin training camp in Accra on Monday.
