Black Stars coach, Otto Addo has expressed confidence in his side’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana opened their qualifying series with a home game against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium.
After a goalless first half, the Palancras Negras left it late after substitute Milson scored in the 89th minute to down the Black Stars.
However speaking to the media after the game, the 45-year-old expressed optimism about his side’s chances of qualify for the tournament that will be hosted in Morocco next year.
“We have it our hands. We will play the other three teams but we are not depending on anybody to qualify. We were unlucky to concede late but our fate is in our hands and we will continue to fight to qualify and I am confident about we qualifying for the tournament,” he added.
Otto Addo and his men will make a trip to Niger for the second Group F game on Monday, September 9 in Berkane.
The defeat leave Ghana in the 3rd place with no point.
