President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku is infuriated about the poor performance of the Black Stars.
According to him, their current performance in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers is unacceptable.
This criticism follows a disappointing start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, where the senior national team recorded a 1-0 loss to Angola at Baba Yara Stadium and a subsequent 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane, leaving them in third place in Group F.
During a meeting with players ahead of their matches against Sudan, Mr Okraku expressed his frustration.
“It’s important for us to remember that we belong to a privileged group, that we are here to serve,” Mr Okraku said.
“What they need from us is good performance, passion, and victory, that heals souls, and heals families. This is what the people need from us” he added.
The Black Stars are eager to earn their first points in the qualifiers as they prepare to face Sudan in the first leg at Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10.
They will then travel for the return leg on Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
Ghana, a four-time African champion, is on a quest for their fifth continental title, with their last trophy dating back to 1982.
