2025 AFCONQ: Jordan Ayew and Elisha Owusu link up with Black Stars teammates in Kumasi

-

Jordan Ayew and Elisha Owusu have joined the Black Stars camp as they gear up to face Angola in Kumasi on Thursday.

The pair, who were included in Otto Addo’s original 23-man squad, missed the first two training sessions in Accra on Monday and in Kumasi on Tuesday as the team prepares for their opening Group F matches in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Despite the delay, Ayew and Owusu have now linked up with the rest of the squad at their hotel, ready for their final training session today at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of the match.

With their arrival, the full roster of players called up for these matches is now present in camp.

Ghana will face Angola on Thursday, September 5, 2024, before traveling to Berkane, Morocco, to play against Niger on Monday.

Jordan Ayew’s presence is a significant boost for the team, especially given his recent impressive performances for the Black Stars.

Otto Addo and his squad are aiming for a strong start in the qualifiers following back-to-back victories in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR).

The game is set to kick off at 16:00 GMT.
