2025 AFCONQ: I hate to lose, says Otto Addo ahead of Sudan game

-

Ghana head coach, Otto Addo, has expressed his determination to secure wins following a challenging start to the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Black Stars faced a disappointing opening with a 1-0 loss to Angola at Baba Yara Stadium.

Their second Group F match ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane which leave them in the 3rd spot with a point.

During a squad unveiling on Friday, October 4 ahead of the doubleheader against Sudan, Addo expressed his frustration over the team’s inability to earn all six points from their initial matches against Angola and Niger.

“I hate to lose games,” Addo said. “I was aiming that we start our qualifiers on a good note but we could not and I was disappointed,” he added.

Otto Addo has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming fixtures against Sudan.

The Black Stars will begin training in Accra on Monday, preparing for their first leg match on October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by a return leg in Benina, Libya, on October 15.
