2025 AFCONQ: Chances of losing against Sudan is low if … – Otto Addo

-

Ghana coach, Otto Addo, has expressed confidence about his side’s chances against Sudan, saying the likelihood of a loss is minimal.

The Black Stars will host the Falcons for the first leg of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying doubleheader on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kickoff at 16:00 GMT.

After a challenging start to their qualifying campaign, which included a 1-0 defeat to Angola and a 1-1 draw against Niger, the four-time African champions are eager for a victory to rejuvenate their chances.

Addressing the press on Wednesday, Addo expressed confidence in his players.

“The probability that we lose tomorrow against Sudan very, very low if we do our homework, if we are concentrated and if we play together as a team” he added.

The second leg of the matchup is scheduled for Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya. Ghana, aiming to secure their fifth continental title, last lifted the trophy in 1982.

Currently, Ghana sits in third place with just one point.
