A victory against Angola on Friday would move the Black Stars up to third place with five points, just two points behind second-placed Sudan.
For a better shot at qualification, Ghana will also need to defeat Niger in their next match on Monday, November 18, and hope Angola beats Sudan the same day.
The highly anticipated showdown between Angola and Ghana is set to kick off at 18:00 GMT on Friday at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.
