-

The Black Stars will hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium later today as they prepare for their upcoming matches against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

A total of 25 players have been summoned for the matches, with four players already in camp: Jojo Wollacott, Elisha Owusu, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Antoine Semenyo, who joined the team on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Ghana Premier League players, Frederick Asare from Asante Kotoko and Isaac Afful of FC Samartex are expected to arrive at the camp this morning.

The remaining squad members are anticipated to join later in the day for the team’s inaugural training session.

Fans are welcome to attend today’s training, but access will be restricted for the sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

Otto Addo and his squad are eager to secure their first win in the qualifiers after starting with a 1-0 loss to Angola, followed by a 1-1 draw with Niger.

Currently, the Black Stars sit in third place in Group F, with just one point.

The first leg of the doubleheader against Sudan is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by the return match on October 14 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
