2025 AFCONQ: Black Stars leave Accra for Kumasi ahead of Angola tie [Photos]

The senior national team, the Black Stars, departed Accra to Kumasi on Tuesday to continue their preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The team began their camp in Accra on Monday, where they held their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium with 10 players.

They include: Frederick Asare, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey, and Ibrahim Osman.

After the first session, additional players including Jerome Opoku, Mohammed Kudus, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Inaki Williams, Abdul Mumin, Alidu Seidu, Mohammed Salisu, Forson Amankwah, Joseph Paintsil and Majeed Ashimeru joined the camp, bringing the total number of players to 20.

The remaining squad members are expected to arrive in Kumasi shortly.

The Black Stars will hold their first training session at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday afternoon and will complete their training on Wednesday in preparation for Thursday’s match.

After their game, the team will travel to Berkane, Morocco, for their second Group F fixture against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Otto Addo aims to secure consecutive victories in their initial Group F matches.
