The Black Stars kicked off their training on Monday afternoon with 11 players at the Accra Sports Stadium, as preparations begin for their upcoming doubleheader against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The senior national team started camp earlier that morning, with key players like Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Joseph Wollacott, Elisha Owusu, and Mohammed Salisu among those present.
Other players who trained included Frederick Asare, Isaac Afful, Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, and Brandon Thomas-Asante.
The remaining squad members are expected to join the team by Monday night ahead of the second training session, scheduled for Tuesday.
However, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that Thomas Partey, Joseph Paintsil, Ibrahim Osman, and Kingsley Schindler will miss the games due to injuries.
Ghana will face Sudan in the first leg of the qualifiers on Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The return leg is set for October 14 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
After a 1-0 loss to Angola and a 1-1 draw with Niger in their recent matches, coach Otto Addo and his squad are determined to secure all six points in these critical fixtures.
