2025 AFCONQ: Black Stars depart for Libya for Sudan clash on Tuesday

The Black Stars departed Ghana on Sunday, heading to Libya to prepare for their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan.

In the first leg of the qualifiers, Ghana was held to a 0-0 draw by the Falcons at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

Despite dominating the match, the Black Stars failed to secure a win, leaving them in third place in Group F with two points from three games.

Ahead of the return fixture, Otto Addo’s team held their final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 12, before travelling to Benina, Libya.

Upon arriving in Libya, the squad will have a mandatory training session at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Monday in preparation for the fourth matchday, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

With the match set to kick off at 13:00 GMT, Otto Addo and his team face a must-win situation against Kwesi Appiah’s side to improve their chances of qualifying for the AFCON tournament, which will be held in Morocco next year.
