2024 polls: Send the elephant back into the bush – Mahama to Ghanaians

-

The figurative expression ‘sending the elephant back to the bush’ is fast re-emerging and gaining ground in the campaigns of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly, in the rural areas.

Addressing constituents in Tano North, the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama asked Ghanaians to vote against the New Patriotic Party(NPP).

According to him, the elephant must be in the bush and with that as the NPP’s logo, the party must be voted out for the economic mismanagement and hardship.

“What sort of governance is this? It is time for the elephant that came to town to be sent back into the bush. The elephant has destroyed a lot and must be sent back.

“People were saying their allegiance is with the NPP because they were born into it but it is time for change. Our ancestors may have been loyal to the NPP but they are dead and gone and we are the ones suffering now so we need someone who will bring change and develop the country,” he stated.

The former President has promised to be fair in sharing developmental projects, adding the NDC will not take any voter for granted.
