The Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr Eric Bossman Asare, has revealed that the Commission will first declare the regional presidential results from all 16 regions before announcing the national results in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Dr Bossman Asare explained that this approach promotes transparency throughout the electoral process.
Speaking at the launch of the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) Election Monitoring System, he reiterated the EC’s dedication to ensuring a free and fair election.
“For the presidential election, results will be forwarded to the constituency collation centres after results are collated at the polling stations. From there, the results will move to the regional collation centers,” Dr. Bossman Asare stated.
“The Commission will announce the presidential results for each region, and the political parties are fully aware of this procedure,” he added.
