2024 polls: NPP poised to reclaim Akwatia, Asuogyaman, Ayensuano and Upper Manya Krobo

-

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is poised to reclaim seats it lost in the Eastern region during the 2020 election come December 7.

Speaking on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Abetifi MP, Dr Bryan Acheampong said the NPP is in a better place to take over these seats the National Democratic Congress (NDC) snatched from them.

The Minister for Food and Agriculture cited the Ayensuano, Akwatia, Asuogyaman, and Upper Manya Krobo constituencies.

Dr Acheampong noted that, these seats were lost due to internal party rifts which he is confident have all been resolved going to the 2024 election.

The NPP is being represented in Akwatia by Ernest Yaw Kumi who was the candidate for the 2020 election and in Asuogyaman, former Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide is seeking to win the seat for the NPP.

In Ayensuano and Upper Manya Krobo, the NPP has Ida Ajoa Asiedu and Bismark Tetteh Nyarko respectively as its candidates.
