2024 polls: NPP planning to use ‘strategy’ to win – Omane Boamah [Video]

Director of Election and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of planning strategies to secure a win in the upcoming December 7 elections despite their perceived failures.

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Dr Boamah criticized the current state of the country under the NPP’s governance, highlighting the significant increase in national debt and rising unemployment rates.

“The unemployment rate and hardship in the country are too much. When the NDC was handed over to the NPP in 2016, the amount we owed was 120 billion Ghana cedis from the days of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah. But now, it’s over 700 billion Ghana cedis,” he stated.

Dr Boamah argued that, the NPP is aware of its failures and is thus resorting to strategic manoeuvres to win the elections.

However, he expressed confidence in the Ghanaian voter’s judgement.

“Ghanaians are smart, so you can’t put so much hardship in the country and expect to win the elections again,” he asserted.

The NDC IT Director called on the electorate to support John Mahama, emphasizing Mahama’s experience and vision for alleviating the country’s current challenges.

“John Mahama has promised to come and alleviate the country from such menace. The NDC has several initiatives to bring on board, so don’t despair. December 7 is not too far. Let’s wait and vote for John Mahama,” Dr. Boamah urged.
