The Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has criticised the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing it as being in a “state of paralysis” during the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during a post-election analysis on Adom TV, Mr Boakye Antwi lamented the party’s apparent lack of preparedness ahead of the polls.
He cited security lapses that left its parliamentary candidates vulnerable to attacks at collation centres.
“Entering this election, the NPP was weak and in a state of paralysis. Our parliamentary candidates who have won are being attacked at collation centres.
“Why is our party in power if we cannot protect our own? Where is national security? We are still in power, with Akufo-Addo as president, Ken Dapaah as defence minister, and Henry Quartey as Interior Minister. Why can’t we protect our own people during this election?” he questioned.
