The Zug-Raan Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, Overlord of the Kusaug Traditional Area, has extended warm congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on behalf of the Chiefs and People of the Kusaug Traditional Area, following his victory in the December 7, 2024, General Elections.
In a statement signed by David Adoliba, Secretary to the Overlord, the Zug-Raan highlighted that Mahama’s decisive endorsement by the Ghanaian electorate reflects his exemplary leadership and the positive legacy of his previous tenure as President.
“Your overwhelming endorsement by Ghanaians to once again steer the affairs of our beloved country is a testament to your sterling leadership qualities and the impactful work you accomplished during your prior term as President,” the statement read.
The Chiefs and People of Kusaug expressed optimism about the future under Mahama’s leadership, recalling the peace and stability enjoyed in the region during his previous administration.
However, the statement acknowledged the recent disturbances and conflicts that have disrupted the peace, resulting in tragic loss of lives.
The Zug-Raan conveyed his confidence that Mahama’s return to office would restore harmony to Kusaug and assured the President-elect of the unwavering support of the Chiefs and People of the region.
“Congratulations once again, and may the Almighty God grant you the strength and wisdom to fulfill your mandate successfully,” the message added.
