Provisional results from the Ablekuma Central constituency indicate that Abdul Dan Latif, the incumbent MP and candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is leading with 45,066 votes.
Jefferson Kwamina Sackey of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) secured 32,735 votes, while 423 ballots were rejected.
The total votes cast amounted to 78,224, with results from all 306 polling stations accounted for.
Although the results are clear, the Electoral Commission has not yet officially declared the winner.
