The leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has confidently stated that the 2024 elections will surprise many people.
“There are alternatives, and people will get a shock of their life during the 2024 election,” he said in an interview on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday.
Mr. Kyerematen stressed the widespread disillusionment with the two major parties.
“80 percent have said if left for NDC and NPP alone, they won’t even vote. NPP registered members they can count on will be like one million people, same as NDC. The rest are all sympathizers.” he said.
He clarified his stance on not aligning with any major political party.
“I am not preparing any grounds for any major political parties. I am not working to help any political party. People will get a shock, so don’t underestimate us. Even NPP and NDC members are tired and may not even vote. 70 to 80 percent of people won’t vote” he stated.
Regarding his objectives in the election, Mr. Kyerematen said “I am not going into elections to become a kingmaker because I can also be a king.”
